The creative concept was to enable customers to find information about Nikon products, learn new techniques and be immersed in a rich experience that would inspire them to create better pictures. By exploring the content through the photographs, users get to see the real results that they can achieve using these great cameras.

Two brave adventurers, Rob Gauntlett and James Hooper, needed a brand design and a website which would record their journey from the north pole to the south, entirely manpowered. The adventure was sponsored by adidas, who provided a lot of the equipment the boys would be using in their arduous task.
The creative idea for the site was inspired by the boy’s rather impulsive approach to planning their journey, items and sketches are laid out on a rock surface and can be inspected by clicking around the area.

The latest addition to the adidas_1 line of intelligent products: the Basketball shoe. I wanted the site to have an almost tron-like feel, so I designed an electronic Basketball court where the products could live, floating in a digital limbo.

I had a lot of fun working on this project. Firstly I had to direct a video shoot to capture the live action of the runners needed for the site. Once the good people at jellyfish had keyed out the action I set about integrating it into the sections in Flash. Flash video is always a challenge, getting the balance of quality and file-size even is tricky at best. The swirling leaves in the technology section were ones I picked up on Old St. (lucky it was autumn!) I then photographed them in rotation and brought them into After Effects. A lot of fun.

The concept for this site was to create a portal for a collection of micro-sites which showcased adidas’ products - all relating to various patented technologies. A world map contains video clips which are links to content, they explode out into space and users can interact with them to access the content.
