Nothing can quite describe the emotions I felt tonight, by every Obama supporter around the world, those with the right to vote and those whose lives will be affected by his leadership, US citizen or not.

After years of America’s image being tarnished by greed and corruption, there dawns a new era which I thought I would never see. So many incredible things this country has brought to the world, yet its image had been tarnished, its reputation battered and bruised. The effect on many other nations has been indescribable.

The creativity and energy that Obama has brought to politics, not only US politics but soon to be the international stage, is phenomenal. As a British Citizen the US President is extremely important to my country, to all our allies, to the whole world. Can Obama inspire and work with our leaders to create a better place for all? Can this happen? I really hope so and I believe it can.
